Return Policy

We take pride in standing behind the tools we produce and sell through our direct channels and authorised retailers. If you have purchased a product directly from benchmade.co.nz and it is unused, uncarried, and in original packaging, you can return it within 15 days of purchase for a replacement or refund. Please note that benchmade.co.nz doesn't exchange knives.

Note: We can only accept returns for products purchased directly from Benchmade.co.nz.

If you have purchased a Benchmade product from an authorised dealer, we are more than happy to assist with servicing. However, please direct any return-related inquiries to the dealer from whom you made the purchase.

Custom knives, Gold Class, Limited Editions, and Kitchen Cutlery are not eligible for return.

Submitting a Return

To submit a return, visit our contact page and enter your order information.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping to our facility. Once your return is initiated, we’ll provide a packing slip and detailed shipping instructions.

If your return is due to an error, manufacturing defect or quality issue, we’ll gladly cover the return shipping costs. Please contact our team to request a prepaid shipping label.

After You Ship It Back

  • Once we receive your item, we’ll inspect it for approval - this process can take up to 5 business days.
  • If your return is accepted, you’ll receive an email confirmation.
  • Refunds are returned to your original payment method. Please allow 7-10 business days for the funds to show in your account.

Why a Return Might Be Rejected

While we strive to make the return process as smooth as possible, there are a few reasons your return may not be approved:

  • Outside Return Window: Returns must be initiated within 15 days of the delivery date.
  • Non-Returnable Items: Custom knives, Gold Class, Limited Editions, and any product not purchased directly from benchmade.co.nz are not eligible for return.
  • Used or Damaged Condition: Products must be returned in new, unused condition with original packaging.
  • Missing Components: If items are missing parts, accessories, or packaging, your return may be denied.
  • Counterfeit Goods: All returns are inspected for authenticity. If a returned item is determined to be counterfeit, the refund will be rejected, and the product may not be returned. Benchmade reserves the right to impound and destroy counterfeit goods in accordance with our Counterfeit Goods Acknowledgement.
